NYCC are proposing to carry out works on the diversion routes that were used when the C92 was closed earlier this year.
The works are programmed to start on Monday 5th August 2013 and will be carried out in two phases.
Linton to Aldwark
It is anticipated that this section of the work will take approximately two weeks to complete, however this is subject to favourable weather conditions and any access requirements for the farmer. The Health and Safety Act 1974 requires any person working on the highway to establish a safe system of work which effectively segregates construction personnel and plant from passing traffic. To comply with this regulation it will be necessary to close the road for the duration of the works, although access will be maintained to properties within the closure length and if possible and safe to do so we will endeavour to reopen the road on a weekend.
Aldwark to Youlton
The second phase of the works will commence as soon as phase one has been completed. It is anticipated that this section of works will take one week to complete, this again, is subject to weather conditions and any access requirements. Similarly to phase one, this will also involve a road closure for the duration of the works.
Please find attached for your information copy of the diversion routes that will be used for each of these phases of works for your information:
There will inevitably be some inconvenience, for which NYCC apologise, but every effort will be made to ensure the work is completed as soon as possible and that any disruption is kept to a minimum.
