C92 LINTON ON OUSE TO NEWTON ON OUSE – CONTINUATION OF CARRIAGEWAY INLAY PATCHING WORKS
North Yorkshire County Council are proposing to re-commence the carriageway inlay patching works on the C92 Linton on Ouse to Newton on Ouse Road, following the works being temporarily suspended at the end of November last year, due to the severe winter weather.
It is proposed that the works will re-commence on Friday 21 January 2011 and are expected to take up to four days for completion, weather permitting. (This excludes the weekend).
The Health and Safety Act 1974 requires any person working on the highway to establish a safe system of work which effectively segregates construction personnel and plant from passing traffic. To comply with this regulation it will be necessary to close the road for the duration of the works, although access will be maintained to properties within the closure length wherever possible. For the majority of the closure access to and from Linton Woods Lane will be from the Linton on Ouse direction.
It is intended that providing it is safe to do so, that the road will be open for the weekend.
The diversion for the closure will be the same one that was used for the works previously, via Youlton and Tollerton.
